Workplace First Aid Training

All workplaces need to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and first-aiders to help if a member of staff has an accident or falls ill at work. It’s the Law. Plus, you also have a duty of care towards all visitors. You should also consider ways to manage mental ill health in your workplace so that you are able to support employees appropriately.

Employers are required to carry out an assessment of First Aid needs to determine what should be provided. The HSE published guidance for employers, providing clarification on how to include mental health, alongside physical health when undertaking a first aid needs assessment.

For more information please see the HSE website, view the full HSE Guidance on Regulations or the HSE Guide to First Aid at Work Questions and Answers.

From offices to yoga studios, schools to shops, we understand that each workplace is different. We tailor our courses to ensure that we cover the likely scenarios you’ll face, so you come away with the skills you need.

Testimonials

Completed a fantastic 6 hr training for First Aid in the Workplace with Flora of Elements first aid at Unity Studio Brighton. She made it interesting, entertaining and relevant to all us yoga teachers and massage therapists. Lots of practical application and an abundance of Annie’s to try out our skills. Thank you.

Elements First Aid Training have carried out a number of courses for us. All superb and all candidates very happy.

The training was practical, clear, concise, lifesaving with experience-based knowledge rather than from books. I can’t recommend them enough. They answered every question thrown at them and left me feeling confident to deliver first aid and to hopefully save a life if and when needed.

Very well structured and easy to understand, teaching exactly what to do in an emergency situation, this particular course focussed on the right way to do CPR and how to use a defibrillator (as our local community hall has one). I'd definitely recommend Elements for anyone wanting to get more confident in administering First Aid.

Excellent course with lots of hands on practical work. Thoroughly enjoyable and engaging. Thank you.

IainYoga Instructor

Really enjoyed the balance of theory and practice and repetition of practical elements for reinforcement. Thanks so much, really great day.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work course was very clear, extremely useful and very professionally delivered. I enjoyed every minute of it. I felt everything about the course was excellent. I definitely feel more informed and confident about dealing with emergencies and delivering first aid. I would highly recommend this course to other first aiders.
