Community Defibrillator Training

2 hours

Do you know how to use your community defibrillator? At Elements we are passionate about CPR and defibrillator training because we know that what you do in those first few minutes, even before the ambulance arrives, can make all the difference. Gather your community group together and we’ll come to you with all the equipment required at a time that suits you.

  • Every year in the UK there are over 30,000 cardiac arrests outside of hospital – in homes and communities. However, currently less than one in ten survive to leave hospital. The key to survival is good quality CPR and EARLY defibrillation – ideally within the first 3 minutes of collapse. Defibrillators are safe, easy to use and save lives.

  • Anyone that has a community defibrillator.

  • We cover all the essential lifesaving skills including how to manage an unconscious casualty, recovery position, CPR and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

  • This is a relaxed awareness course – there is no formal assessment.

  • This is an active and practical course that involves rolling around on the floor and some occasional close contact with another learner. Learners need to take a full and active part and comply with our Covid-19 mitigation measures. Please contact us prior to the course starting if you require a reasonable adjustment.
